What is BB MACD Indicator?
BB MACD is an MT5 subwindow indicator that combines a MACD-style calculation with Bollinger Bands around the displayed reading. Average periods, deviation, price source, colors, and levels control the comparison view.
The MACD reading and surrounding bands provide chart context for comparing momentum with its displayed range. The pane is a visual reference and does not establish a future reversal or continuation.
How to Use It in Practice
BB MACD places Bollinger Bands around the MACD line rather than around price. The MACD line becomes brighter when it moves beyond the configured outer band, so the band width and the line’s brightness can be inspected in the same pane.
- Compare the MACD line with its surrounding Bollinger boundaries and note when the line changes to the brighter state outside a band.
- Change Bollinger bands period to alter the band calculation; the default of 50 is comparatively loose, and 21 is one example of a shorter setting.
- Reduce the adjacent Bollinger value from 2 to 1 when a narrower, faster-changing band display is required.
Momentum and volatility context share one pane, and configurable periods and colors make the combined display easier to compare.
