What is Bulls and Bears Indicator?

Bulls and Bears is an MT5 subwindow indicator that displays separate areas for the two directional pressure readings. Period, smoothing, colors, and level settings control the visible comparison.
The two areas help review how the displayed pressure changes across bars and timeframes. They are oscillator context and do not establish which side will dominate next.
How to Use It in Practice

Read the green area as the displayed Bull Power and the orange area as the displayed Bear Power, then compare their relative size over consecutive bars:
- Compare the combined pane with the separate standard Bull Power and Bear Power readings that the two colors represent.
- Keep color changes in the context of several bars, because a switch by itself can be noisy.
- Use the single period setting to change the calculation window.
Both pressure readings share one pane, color separation supports quick comparison, and smoothing options help manage visual noise.
MT5 Indicator Parameters

The screenshot above shows the default input parameters in the MT5 settings window.
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| Bulls and bears period | Defines the number of candles used to calculate the average bullish and bearish strength. A shorter period makes the indicator more responsive to recent changes, while a longer period smooths out short-term fluctuations and shows a broader view of market sentiment. |
