What is Fair Value Gap Absorption Indicator?

Fair Value Gap Absorption Indicator chart overview

Fair Value Gap Absorption Indicator is an MT4 tool that draws Fair Value Gap (FVG) zones and prints a mitigation percentage inside each zone. Bullish imbalances appear in green, bearish imbalances in red, and the portion already revisited by price can be shown in gray.

Values such as 31.2%, 70.1%, or 91.5% describe how far price has moved through a gap. They are not win rates or probability forecasts. Their purpose is to make the current state of each imbalance easier to read without measuring it manually.

How to use Fair Value Gap Absorption Indicator

Fair Value Gap Absorption Indicator practical chart example

When price returns to an FVG, watch whether candles reject the near edge, trade into the gray mitigation area, or cross the entire zone. A zone that also overlaps a prior high, low, or manually drawn level can become a useful area for planning—not an automatic entry signal.

Use the percentage to compare partially filled gaps, then confirm the reaction with price action and the higher-timeframe trend. Historical gaps can remain visible so you can see which older imbalances are still close enough to matter.

Where it helps

Measure mitigation visually

Percentage labels show how deeply price has traded into every displayed FVG.

Separate bullish and bearish gaps

Independent colors make opposing imbalances easy to distinguish.

Keep historical context

Older FVGs can stay on the chart for reviewing nearby unfinished zones.
