What is Gann High-Low Activator SSL Alert Indicator?

The Gann High-Low Activator SSL Alert for MT5 calculates a line from recent high and low prices and applies the selected smoothing method. Price crossings are marked through the indicator display and optional alerts.
Period, Method, Alert, and Sound settings control the calculation and notification behavior. The line can be used as a reference when reviewing directional changes and nearby price structure.
How to Use It in Practice

Use the indicator to review the smoothed high-low reference:
- Add the indicator and compare price location with the plotted activator line.
- Choose the Period and smoothing Method in the existing Inputs.
- Enable Alert or Sound when notification is useful for your chart-monitoring routine.
- Review crossings together with the surrounding price structure rather than in isolation.
A smoothed high-low reference appears directly on the chart, the calculation can be adjusted with two core settings, and popup or sound notifications are optional.
MT5 Indicator Parameters

The screenshot above shows the default input parameters in the MT5 settings window.
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| Period | Defines the number of bars used to calculate the recent highs and lows. A higher value makes the line smoother and slower to react; a lower value makes it more sensitive. |
| Method | Selects the type of smoothing to apply to the indicator. Common methods include Simple, Exponential, and Smoothed. This affects how responsive the line is to price changes. |
| Alert | Enables or disables pop-up alert notifications when price crosses the line, signaling a potential trend change. |
| Sound | Enables or disables an audible alert when a signal occurs, helping traders react even when not visually monitoring the chart. |
