What is ozymandias Indicator?

Ozymandias is an MT5 chart indicator that displays moving-average-based upper and lower channel lines around price. Length, moving-average method, shift, and style settings control the channel presentation.
The channel provides visual context for comparing price location with a smoothed range. It is a display reference and does not establish a fixed reaction or continuation.
How to Use It in Practice

Read the color of the central line together with the narrow channel around it. The display resembles a narrowed envelope, and its width is not strongly volatility-based.
- Compare the central-line color with the channel position around recent candles.
- Inspect moves outside the band and subsequent moves back inside as separate chart observations rather than instructions.
- Allow for the false-looking moves that can occur because the band is narrow.
- Set Length for the channel sample, MAType for the moving-average method, and Shift to move the whole channel horizontally.
A compact moving-average channel organizes price context, while length and method settings support different smoothing views.
MT5 Indicator Parameters

The screenshot above shows the default input parameters in the MT5 settings window.
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| Length | Sets the number of bars used to calculate the moving average. Smaller values make the channel more sensitive, while larger values smooth the channel reaction. |
| MAType | Selects the moving average method (e.g., Simple, Exponential). This affects how the channel responds to price changes. |
| Shift | Offsets the channel lines forward or backward on the chart. It is mainly for visual adjustment and does not affect the calculation. |
