What is qqe-of-cci-indicator?

QQE of CCI is an MT5 oscillator that applies QQE-style smoothing to Commodity Channel Index values. Fast and slow smoothing, periods, price source, colors, and reference levels determine the displayed curves.
The smoothed lines provide visual context for comparing momentum changes with recent price behavior. They are chart references and do not turn a crossing into a standalone instruction.
How to Use It in Practice

Read the light-blue and orange oscillator states around zero and the configurable outer reference levels:
CCI and QQE-style smoothing share one pane, reference levels organize the display, and inputs support different responsiveness.
- Compare the light-blue and orange states with the main chart while noting their position around the zero level.
- Use the plus or minus 200 to 300 region as an adjustable outer reference, not as a fixed conclusion about the next candle.
- Adjust CCI period for the broader response and CCI smoothing factor for finer changes; Fast period and Slow period alter the gray lines and the color-change timing.
- A range containing very large bullish or bearish candles can make the display less clear, so compare the oscillator with the recent price range.
MT5 Indicator Parameters

The screenshot above shows the default input parameters in the MT5 settings window.
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| CCI period | Defines the lookback length used to calculate the base CCI. A larger value smooths momentum and focuses on broader swings, while a smaller value reacts faster to recent price changes. |
| CCI smoothing factor | Controls how strongly the CCI values are smoothed before further processing. Higher values reduce noise but add lag, while lower values keep the indicator more sensitive. |
| Fast period | Sets the responsiveness of the faster QQE-style smoothing line. This component reacts quickly to momentum changes and is useful for short-term shifts. |
| Slow period | Defines the slower smoothing component. It represents the underlying momentum direction. |
| Price | Specifies which price type is used for the CCI calculation, such as close price. Changing this can slightly alter the sensitivity and behavior of the indicator. |
