What is Standard Deviation Channels x3 Cloud Indicator?

Standard Deviation Channels x3 Cloud is an MT5 chart indicator that displays three layers of deviation bands around a central mean line. Periods, multipliers, price source, colors, and cloud settings control the visible channel group.
The layered bands provide visual context for comparing price location with different displayed ranges. They are reference areas for chart review and do not establish an overextended condition or future reaction.
How to Use It in Practice

Three standard-deviation channel layers surround a central area, with the upper half shaded green and the lower half pink. The channel width changes materially with the selected candle-history length.
- Compare the center, the three upper and lower deviation boundaries, and the current price location on the same chart.
- Change the history-length value to alter the number of candles included; a 300-candle setting and a 1,500-candle setting cover different history spans, and a longer history is not automatically better.
- Adjust the 1, 1.5, and 2 deviation values to change the successive channel widths.
- Read the channel as a distribution-based chart structure rather than assuming that an outer boundary forces price back to the center.
Three deviation layers provide graduated range context, while cloud styling makes the displayed areas easier to distinguish.
MT5 Indicator Parameters

The screenshot above shows the default input parameters in the MT5 settings window.
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| количество свечей для анализа | Specifies the number of candles used for the calculation. A larger value produces smoother channels, while a smaller one makes them more responsive to recent price changes. |
| девиация первого канала | Defines the standard deviation multiplier for the first (inner) channel. This channel represents minor deviations from the mean. |
| девиация второго канала | Sets the multiplier for the second (middle) channel. This level captures medium deviations and is often used as a moderate volatility boundary. |
| девиация третьего канала | Defines the multiplier for the third (outermost) channel. It highlights strong volatility extremes and possible overbought/oversold conditions. |
| сдвиг индикатора по горизонтали в барах | Moves the entire channel structure horizontally on the chart by the specified number of bars. This can be used for forward or backward projection. |
| сдвиг индикатора по вертикали в пунктах | Adjusts the channel position vertically in points, useful for fine-tuning alignment or avoiding overlap with other indicators. |
