What is Stochastic Momentum Index?

Stochastic Momentum Index displays a main line and a signal line around a zero reference in an MT5 subwindow. Its smoother movement contrasts with ordinary Stochastic fluctuations.
The two lines describe the indicator calculation for the chosen periods. A line crossing or zero-line position is context to review with price, not a guaranteed outcome.
How to use Stochastic Momentum Index

Review line slope, spacing, and the zero reference together with the chart’s highs, lows, and completed candles. Extended movement can remain on one side of the pane.
Length and the two smoothing periods control the main calculation. Signal period controls the second line, and Price chooses the source input.
Where it helps
The main and signal lines share one oscillator pane.
The pane makes position above or below its center line visible.
Length, two smoothing periods, and signal period are available.
