What is Vertex?

Vertex displays a single oscillator line in a separate chart pane. Its reading is calculated from a trend period and a force period, while the horizontal LineValue supplies a fixed comparison level.
The indicator keeps changes in its calculated trend force visible alongside the main chart. The line is an observation aid, not a prediction of the next price move.
How to use Vertex

Compare changes in the Vertex line with the selected LineValue and with the price structure on the main chart. A reading on either side of the line describes the current output of the calculation; it does not settle the direction of a later candle.
TrendPeriod and ForcePeriod change the amount of price history used by the calculation. LineValue moves the displayed comparison threshold.
Where it helps
Trend, force, and threshold settings define the displayed oscillator.
The separate pane keeps the calculated line distinct from price candles.
Two period inputs allow the display to be adapted to the chart being reviewed.
