Indicator Explanation
Vervoort Crossover Extended is an MT5 indicator that displays two Triple Exponential Moving Average lines with separate fast and slow settings. The extended price options include Heiken Ashi-based inputs as well as standard price selections.
When the two displayed lines cross, the indicator can place colored arrows on the chart. The lines and arrows are visual annotations for reviewing moving-average behavior rather than a standalone trading instruction.
How to Use It in Practice
Vervoort Crossover Extended draws fast and slow TEMA lines and places green or red arrows where the two lines cross. Each TEMA can use ordinary price data or Heiken Ashi data.
- Read the two TEMA lines and their crossing arrows as the display’s separate line and annotation elements.
- Use Fast tema period for the shorter line and Slow tema period for the smoother longer-period line.
- Choose Fast tema price and Slow tema price independently; the available sources include Typical, Close, and Heiken Ashi average data.
Fast and slow TEMA lines are combined in one display, Heiken Ashi price inputs add an alternate smoothing source, and optional arrows make line crossings easy to locate.

| Slow tema period | Sets the period for the slow (long-term) TEMA. A larger value makes the TEMA smoother and less sensitive to short-term price fluctuations. |
| Slow tema price | Specifies the type of price used for calculating the slow TEMA. Selecting “Heiken ashi average” uses Heiken Ashi values instead of regular candlestick prices, providing additional smoothing. |
