What is WPR Histogram Vol Indicator?

WPR Histogram Vol is an MT5 subwindow indicator that combines a Williams %R reading with displayed volume context in a histogram. Periods, volume source, colors, levels, and smoothing settings control the pane.
Bar height and color help compare oscillator pressure with the selected activity measure across bars. The display is a visual measurement and does not classify an extreme as a future reversal.
How to Use It in Practice

WPR Histogram Vol draws Williams %R as bars around a zero line, with two upper and two lower reference lines. When a trend is displayed, the bars change to green for rising and orange for falling movement.
- Compare the histogram’s green or orange bars with the four displayed upper and lower level lines.
- Change the top value of 14 to alter the WPR period, then set the positive 20 and 15 values for the two upper levels and their negative counterparts for the two lower levels.
- Move the final Shift value negative for a leftward display shift or positive for a rightward shift; that adjustment relates to a faster or steadier visual response.
WPR and volume context share one pane, color changes support quick comparison, and input controls adapt the display to different charts.
MT5 Indicator Parameters

The screenshot above shows the default input parameters in the MT5 settings window.
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| период индикатора | Sets the calculation period for the Williams Percent Range. A shorter period increases sensitivity, while a longer one smooths out fluctuations. |
| объём | Selects the volume type used in the calculation. “Tick volume” measures activity based on price changes per bar. |
| уровень перекупленности 1 / 2 | Defines the first and second overbought thresholds. These levels mark areas where price may be stretched to the upside. |
| уровень перепроданности 1 / 2 | Defines the first and second oversold thresholds. These help identify potential reversal points on the downside. |
| Сдвиг индикатора по горизонтали в барах | Moves the histogram horizontally by a set number of bars for display adjustment without affecting calculation. |
